Storage Benches, Ottomans & Trunks

Discover handcrafted storage benches, ottomans, blanket boxes and trunks. Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living spaces, these pieces combine useful hidden storage with distinctive wood, leather and fabric finishes.

Which type? A storage trunk or blanket box has a lid-up top and the deepest space inside, so it suits spare bedding and a bedroom window. A storage trunk bench or shoe storage bench is seat height, around 45 to 55 cm, for a hallway, with drawers or a pull-out shoe rack beneath the seat. Ottomans on castor legs roll up to a sofa.

Frames are mango wood made in India, in oak-ish, chestnut and walnut finishes, and the leather seats are buffalo hide in tan, brown and black; some benches have linen or rattan tops instead. Most benches are 80 to 120 cm wide and 30 to 45 cm deep. Check the product page for the inside storage size, the finish and whether the seat is leather, fabric or bare wood.

Choosing a storage bench, trunk or ottoman

Decide whether you need a seat or a box. A storage bench or shoe bench is seat height for a hallway, with drawers or a pull-out rack under the seat. A trunk or blanket box has a lid-up top and the deepest space for bedding. An ottoman on castors moves up to a sofa as a footstool.

Compare the outside width with the space, then the inside storage size on the product page. Seats are buffalo-hide leather, linen, rattan or bare mango wood, so check which one the model has, and whether the lid is hinged or lifts off.
