8 degrees or 11 degrees: which seat wedge?

The 8° wedge rises to 8 cm at the back over its 36 cm depth, a gentle tilt that suits car seats and anyone new to sitting on a wedge. The 11° seat wedge is 9.5 cm at the back and tips the pelvis further forward, which many desk users prefer. Both angles are also made with a coccyx cut-out if you get tailbone pressure.

Which way round does it go?

Thick edge at the back of the seat, thin edge towards your knees, so the seat slopes gently down in front of you and your hips sit a little higher than your knees.

Will the strap fit a car seat?

Yes. The removable strap passes round the seat to stop the wedge sliding forward when you get in and out, and the carry handle lifts it out between cars. Take the strap off for a dining or office chair if you prefer.

Does it work on a soft sofa?

It works best on a firm, flat seat. On a deep, soft sofa cushion the wedge sinks in and most of the tilt disappears.
